Paihia
Ideally located at the eastern end of the cycle trail with Opua just a 7 minute drive away. Paihia is rightly proud of its international reputation as a tourist hub. It has beaches, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants and shops. It is also a mecca for water based activities (Hole in the Rock, Swim with the Dolphins etc).

Dolphin Motel is a great place to base yourself when you are visiting, exploring and experiencing all that the Bay of Islands and the Far North has to offer. Dolphin Motel located in the heart of Paihia Township is an apartment style motel with studio, family, one and two bedroom units. A great base for all activities on and off the water. Kaikohe
Strategically situated at almost exactly the mid point of the Twin Coast Cycle Trail. Kaikohe is a long established farming and service town with 2 supermarkets, shops and cafes.
Mid North Motor Inn, 158 Broadway, Kaikohe.
A family run accommodation site situated roughly half-way between both east and west coasts. We provide 3 x studio units with a queen and 2 x single beds and 7 studio units with a queen and 1 single bed (Total 10 units). All units have parking outside their rooms. We offer shared kitchen and laundry facilities. We can provide breakfast, packed lunches and dinners for large groups. Within walking distance to all shops, supermarkets, cafes and takeaway food outlets. We live onsite and happy to assist with late arrivals, tour bookings and general enquiries/recommendations. RSA will provide cut lunches and dinner meals.
